Born with asthma, Arjun has always been deeply aware of the impact of air pollution on health. Motivated to make a difference, he created SkyGuard, an innovative wildfire monitoring drone designed to reduce pollution caused by wildfires. The drone is equipped with a custom-built frame, an Ardupilot controller for waypoint mission, and a computer vision algorithm tailored for early wildfire detection. Arjun’s groundbreaking project has garnered significant recognition, receiving over ₹2.5 lakh in funding from Samsung through a prestigious national competition. He has pitched SkyGuard to professors at IIT Delhi, earning their admiration for his ingenuity, and the project has been featured on CNN and MoneyControl. As the only school student invited to intern at Akasa Air, Arjun continues to refine his expertise and push the boundaries of innovation.
