Evaluating PTFE membrane performance

This project investigates the potential of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane technology for treating acidic effluents generated from metal pickling processes—a major source of industrial wastewater pollution. Pickling, commonly used to remove impurities and oxides from metal surfaces, produces effluents rich in hydrochloric or sulfuric acid, heavy metals, and other toxic contaminants.
