InflammoScan

This project proposes a low-cost, non-invasive prototype that uses colour-reactive saliva test strips and computer vision to detect inflammation levels in athletes. By analyzing the colour shift caused by biomarkers like CRP and IL-6 through OpenCV, the system can identify whether inflammation is low, moderate, or high, providing real-time feedback through a simple app or GUI. The use of HSV/LAB colour space in image analysis ensures robustness against lighting variations, improving accuracy in real-world settings. This solution could be deployed for on-the-go recovery tracking, offering a personalized inflammation dashboard to athletes and trainers without the need for lab testing.
